1 Day Mt Fuji/Hakone Tour with onsen experience (October 2024)

Huge thanks to our tour coordinator, Miyuki, and our guide, Hiro, for their help in arranging a wonderful day to Mt Fuji and surroundings.
From the start, Miyuki was in close communication to make sure we felt looked after with arranging an itinerary, booking a private onsen and watching the weather with us.
We didn’t end up with a perfectly fine day, but at least we could see Mt Fuji.
We were impressed with Hiro’s punctuality and his solicitousness.
He made sure we had access to facilities that we needed, restaurants that we wanted, helped us order, took our photos and made sure we were comfortable.
We highly recommend the Mt Fuji tour and encourage everyone to do the onsen.
It’s a fantastic way to finish the day and helps to relax before the drive back to Tokyo.

In September 2024, my family and I embarked on an 11-day trip to Japan.
Feeling more ambitious and adventurous this time, we chose to engage HM Tours again, having had such a great experience during our Tokyo visit in December 2023.
With Miyuki's assistance, we coordinated a three-day tour to explore some remarkable destinations, including Kobe City, Miyama Village, Ine no Funaya, Amanohashidate Sandbar, and Kyoto City.
During our tour, we were once again greeted by Hiro, who warmly welcomed us back to Japan.
His warm, patient, and enthusiastic personality made our three-day journey both enriching and memorable.
After our tour, Miyuki and Hiro were always available to assist us with any questions we had, especially regarding the challenging public transportation system. We are truly grateful to HM Tour for making our trip fruitful and fulfilling, and we will definitely recommend them to our family and friends!

Being led on a tour with Hiro and Miyuki of HM Tour is like being welcomed by family and being enthusiastically led around all the wonderful sights and sounds that Japan offers. I was lucky to have been referred to HM Tour by several prior customers, and Hiro and Miyuki went above and beyond expectations.
I was overwhelmed to plan a trip for my family of 7 with ages ranging from 4 to 65+. From the start, Miyuki as the Tour Coordinator could sense my unwavering desire to check off every landmark and experience on my bucket list. She patiently crafted an itinerary that was not only efficient but also approved by my four children and other adults in our group. Whenever challenges would arrive such as weather, business closures or traffic delays, Miyuki kept us up-to-date and either helped us to accommodate or suggested alternative plans. She also helped us secure extremely limited reservations such as Pokémon Cafe, Kirby Cafe, Shibuya Sky sunset, and the Romance Car front observation deck. Our family was also appreciative of the dining recommendations always offered by Miyuki including the yummy snacks on Takeshita Street and the hip Izakaya Gonpachi. I do not think that I ever went a week without hearing from Miyuki, whether it be by email, LINE or phone call- planning our trip for almost a year prior to departure! And once on our trip of a lifetime, she kept in constant communication with us and Hiro, making all of us reassured that we were always being looked out for especially with a foreign language and landscape to explore.
Upon arriving at Narita, Hiro-san (as my children lovingly came to refer to him) as our local native guide quickly impressed us with his comfortable and safe driving and his eagerness to show us around and even narrate in English. We could tell that he was so proud to show us the sights of his beautiful country. We were especially relieved when he provided door-to-door service so that we could reserve our energy for each of the sights on our itinerary. And when it came to local dining, Hiro quickly jumped in to help us order local favorites on the menu. One of the highlights of our trip was when Hiro took us to Tsukiji market and had us take in the sights, smell and sounds of the bustling market. We were able to enjoy a lot of regional delicacies together. And he was especially patient with our children, knowing full well that they would become more energized and comfortable as the trip went on. He would greet all of us with an excited smile on his face each day and was prompt and on-time for every meeting. In fact, it was so easy to communicate our plans for pick-up with Hiro and Miyuki on the LINE app since there was a built-in translator. Because of all of this, we had the trip of a lifetime with HM Tour. It was hard to say goodbye but we know we will be back with Hiro and Miyuki again soon!

We had a fantastic time visiting beautiful Tokyo and Kyoto.

The Shibuya Sky at sunset was stunning and Kyoto was so full of rich history.

We found ourselves inundated with the task of planning our stay in Tokyo. With an abundance of attractions and activities to choose from and limited time at our disposal, we were faced with the dilemma of where to begin. It was during this period of uncertainty that we stumbled upon a review of HM Tour on the Cruise Critic Website, prompting us to make an inquiry. We had firmly decided against navigating the complexities of the subway system and sought out a company that could provide us with chauffeured transportation. Kana promptly responded to our inquiry, setting an excellent beginning for our interaction .
Kana sought to understand our preferences and priorities in terms of sightseeing. After conducting extensive research over several days, we compiled a list of attractions and forwarded it to her. She offered her recommendations, and together we formulated a comprehensive three-day itinerary, including the optimal times for securing entry tickets to various attractions. Miyuki then became our primary point of contact for logistical arrangements.
Given that we were embarking on a journey aboard the Celebrity Millennium for three cruises prior to reaching Tokyo in February, we realized that we would not have the bandwidth to handle all the bookings for the attractions ourselves. Miyuki efficiently organized for an expeditor to handle all the necessary reservations on our behalf. Thanks to her efforts, we secured coveted spots for sunset viewing at both Shibuya Sky Tower and Tokyo Tower, visits to Planet Lab, reservations at various restaurants, and seats at a Sumo Show.
Upon our arrival in Yokohama, Hiro greeted us punctually. We wasted no time and commenced our tour according to the predetermined schedule. While Hiro's command of English was limited, he managed to effectively communicate, and more importantly, he displayed genuine care and proved to be a skilled driver. Throughout the tour, we never felt rushed, and Hiro demonstrated flexibility with regards to timing. Utilizing the LINE app facilitated seamless communication with Hiro throughout our excursion.
At the conclusion of our three-day tour, Hiro chauffeured us to our next accommodation at Tokyo Disneyland, bidding us a fond farewell.

In December 2023, me and my Family embarked on our first trip to the Land of the Rising Sun in 15 years.
In a bid to maximize our time in Tokyo without wrestling with its challenging train system, we sought assistance from HM Tour.
We were firstly attended by the team customer service staff Kana with her professional service attitude in ensuring the smooth booking process. We were then lucky to be assisted by Miyuki, who not only organized our tour schedule but also offered valuable advice on the best shopping districts for cosmetics, clothing, and footwear. Miyuki also advised us on buying SIM cards and e-SIMs for uninterrupted internet access during our stay in Tokyo.
Miyuki also took the effort to rearrange our Mount Fuji tour when the weather forecast predicted cloudy and foggy conditions on the scheduled date, which would have hindered our chance to fully appreciate the majestic view of Mt Fuji.
Even though our Mount Fuji tour was postponed for a few days, we were fortunate enough to fully enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the Fujisan.
Throughout our 3 days of touring, we were fortunate to meet our guide, Hiro. Hiro was extremely friendly, making us feel warmly welcomed in Japan.
Apart from Hiro’s extensive knowledge of the tourist attractions he drove us to, he also made considerable efforts to research the best restaurants and eateries for our meals. Furthermore, he assisted us in ordering food at these eateries since we cannot speak Japanese well. Additionally, Hiro exceeded expectations by taking us to renowned shopping districts during our extra time.
We are blessed and glad to encounter Hiro and Miyuki who has made our time in Tokyo to be incredibly satisfying, an exciting and enjoyable trip!

8 Days Tokyo+Mt Fuji+kyoto+Nara Tour (October 2023)

Our family, including our children aged 14, 12, 11, and 8, was brimming with excitement as we planned our first-ever journey to Japan. After securing our flights and accommodations, we found ourselves overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information available online. The task of crafting an itinerary, selecting destinations, figuring out transportation, and booking tickets felt daunting. Eventually, we decided to book a tour with HM Tour, and we are thrilled we made that choice.
We had a total of 13 days to explore Japan, and our goal was to have a mix of guided tours and free days for independent exploration. Fortunately, Miyuki from HM Tour was an absolute gem, accommodating our needs with enthusiasm. She took the time to inquire about our interests and preferences and then offered us valuable recommendations on sightseeing, activities, and dining options. Miyuki went above and beyond by planning our entire 13-day itinerary, even though we only required guided tours for 8 of those days.
About two months before our trip, Miyuki sent us a detailed preliminary email. This message not only provided us with an in-depth itinerary but also included advice on what to prepare in advance. Crucially, she offered guidance on when and how to purchase tickets for popular attractions like Shibuya Sky, Tokyo Skytree, TeamLab, Ghibli Museum, and the Pokemon café. Without her advice, we might have missed out on tickets for these sought-after sites, as we didn't realize that many of them need to be booked a month in advance. Additionally, she provided comprehensive instructions on how to reach our destinations during our "free and easy" days.
Upon our arrival at Narita Airport, we were met by Hiro. After enduring a long flight and feeling tired and hungry, the last thing we wanted to do was navigate Tokyo's intricate transportation system to reach our hotel. Thankfully, Hiro came to our rescue, ensuring we were efficiently checked in at our hotel before he departed.
At one point during our journey, my son left his mobile on the Shinkansen train from Tokyo to Kyoto. We were immensely grateful for Hiro's assistance, as he helped us make necessary phone calls. Our relief was palpable when we were successfully reunited with the misplaced mobile, which we retrieved from the Lost and Found office at Osaka train station. Without Hiro's support, we would have been at a loss, especially considering the language barrier. We were impressed with Japan's efficient system, which made it possible to recover the lost item.
Throughout the entire trip, Hiro maintained a high level of professionalism. He consistently demonstrated politeness, clear communication, and a cheerful willingness to adapt to our needs, even when we had last-minute changes to our plans. He made certain that we always knew where we were, what we were doing, and where we needed to go when he dropped us off at various locations. He wouldn't leave until he was absolutely certain that we were well-informed and comfortable. Hiro also shared valuable insights about Japanese culture, places of interest, and cuisine.
Should any issues or challenges arise during our journey, both Miyuki and Hiro were readily available to provide us assistance. They went the extra mile to ensure our well-being, and we genuinely felt cared for throughout the trip.
Our time in Japan was immensely enjoyable, thanks to the carefully crafted itinerary that Miyuki helped us create. Each day felt like a new adventure to anticipate. This trip became a truly special and memorable experience, all thanks to the dedication of Miyuki and Hiro. We hope to return to Japan one day to relive those cherished moments.

The best decision about our recent visit to Tokyo was using the services of HM Tour. We are so grateful for Miyuki and Hiro as they planned a very fun and memorable family trip to Tokyo in July2023.
They were able to maximize our limited time there with seeing so many places. We would have not seen half of the places, if we had planned the trip ourselves and taking public transport.
At the start, they asked the pertinent questions and learned about us. They delivered a very detailed and thoughtful trip for us, catered to our interest with places from our bucket list and more!
We met Hiro at the airport and immediately hit it off. We visited a lot of great places and sampled great food selections, while learning the beautiful culture. He took us to more places that match our interests as he got to know us. It was great, and as though we were traveling with a good friend.

Sharing our wonderful experience with Mr. Hiro who drove my family of 5 around Hakone and Mount Fuji area the past three days. He speaks a little English but enough for us to understand. He was very patient, kind and gave lots of recommendations based on after what my initial plans were.
He took us to some amazing restaurants for lunch and dinner, recommended some local famous snacks and food. He also made sure we were set when dropping us off at each location. He would walk us to the ticket booth, point out where the restrooms where, and make sure we knew how to order our food during our meals.
There was once, we left something in the hotel after we checkout, he helped us to called the hotel and arranged everything. Even when I am back in Tokyo, he was able to help us to arrange the courier pick up.

We used HM tour service twice.
We first found out that the Mt Fuji Hakone itinerary found on viator is the most suitable for us family of 10 (7 adults and 3 kids). Ever since I booked the tour, Miyuki was very helpful and tried to accommodate our vast questions. Then she introduced us to Hiro, the Japanese driver and guide that would accompany us in Japan.
Communication was very smooth. She offered a lot of help and information not just about our trip with HM but for overall Japan information. Then we decided to go to this place (Yamagata, Ginzan Onsen, and Nikko), and finally planned 3D 2N trip with HM touragain.
On the MT Fuji / Hakone Day Trip Day, Hiro picked us up right on time.
We were the ones who were around 15 mins late, but he kept to accommodate every spot that we need to go. He even brought us to one sightseeing spot that was not in the itinerary just because we could take a good photo memory there. He told us a lot of things about Japan and things that we saw. Overall, the trip was very comfortable, food that he suggested also matched our expectation.
We saw Hiro again 2 days after this Fuji Hakone trip.
This time only 5 adults and 2 kids since some of our family members already went home first. This trip was an eye opener for us. On the path that he took us, we were wondering, our trip would never be this fascinating if we go by ourselves. It’s really great to use this service for this Yamagata Nikko area.
The places Hiro took us were breathtaking.
Also, we traveled with kids, but everything seems much easier because he helped us a lot to get to closer drop off point, get along with kids well, and always on time and helpful for catering our needs and requests. While Miyuki is always in the loop and never stop providing tips for us, we totally enjoyed the 2 trips that we had.
We will use this service again if I come back to Japan in the future.

We have enjoyed Hiro as our guide for our Tokyo Trip. We were a family of 2 adults, 2 kids aging 10 and 5 years old. Majority of the tour were transported by private transport and saved us much time to see more attractions.
The team and us have communicated on our needs and interests via emails. He enquired on what we wish to do and proposed an itinerary that was pragmatic, efficient and transparent still leaving room for flexibility reasonable changes. We were very pleased with the communication, itinerary and the transparency of the reasonable costing. We went to Japan with peace of mind knowing we could be in good hands.
On the actual day, Hiro picked us up from the hotel sharp with a very welcoming and friendly personality that also very quickly became good friends with my kids. Throughout the journey, he explained what we were doing , where we were going and followed the itinerary closely. However, when he found out that we had special interest, so he did effort to squeeze in a few places to accommodate our last minute requests without affecting our schedule too much.
He was extremely patient, calm and relaxed and very accommodating, which made the entire trip enjoyable. Thanks to Hiro we have enjoyed our Tokyo trip and got to see the Tokyo City from a local view.
At the end of the day, when he sent us back to hotel and bid goodbye at a tough moment. We got so used to him that we had nearly tears in our eyes. He is such a reliable and excellent person that we wholeheartedly recommend him as a tour guide.

Hiro was very helpful in our trip planning a big family group. The team has listened to our needs and provided us the useful information and assistance which we would not know as a travler. I rented a wheelchair for my father and my family had several big luggages. Hiro was able to provide a big vehicle for us to move around the mountain area in Nagano. It was almost impossible for me to rent such a big car in Japan as foreigner. Hiro was able to guide us even inside train stations and he provided valuable inputs during our shopping. He was able to recommend to us cheaper and better transport and food options.
When we requested extended stay in Tokyo, he was able to accede to our last minute request. He even offer his car to take our luggage and parents so that we can enjoy the train journey without our luggage. Hiro has helped to make our tour a lot more comfortable and easier with his thoughtfulness and kindness. Examples include arranging for wheelchair assistance in train stations, early seats reservation, food and tourist attractions. We are glad to have Hiro as our trip guide.

Hiro met us at the airport in Tokyo. It was great having him as a guide in a completely new environment. We really appreciated his help with much more organization, logistics and transportation arrangement. He took us to a nearby Onsen to get refreshed after our long flight. Then he helped us to drop our luggage at our hotel, book all our future train journeys for the upcoming trip and then took us to a traditional festival in a town about an hour and a half from Tokyo. He was a key to making our first day in Tokyo stress free and enjoyable, providing a perfect start for what was about to be the most wonderful holiday.
